CGM

Serving Greater Cincinnati since 1924, City Gospel Mission empowers homeless and hurting men and women and at-risk youth to break the cycle of poverty and despair. The Mission annually serves more than 11,000 people by collaborating with local churches, businesses and organizations to offer a variety of one-to-one, relationship-focused programs and services to equip those in need with the spiritual, emotional and physical skills and resources to achieve life transformation.

Located in historic Over-the-Rhine, City Gospel Mission annually serves 116,000 hot and nutritious meals and provides 28,000 nights of safe shelter. CGM also offers comprehensive, long-term men’s and women’s recovery programs, which include transitional and supportive housing and aftercare. Additionally, the Mission offers Whiz Kids Tutoring & Mentoring, the Step Forward Flying Pig Marathon fitness training program and Green Recycling Works, a self-sustaining enterprise that provides transitional employment and job training for recovery-program graduates.

“City Gospel Mission doesn’t just do the Lord’s work, it does the city and community’s work,” Cincinnati Vice Mayor Roxanne Qualls says. “We truly value the partnership we have formed with City Gospel Mission.”
