THANK YOU! Fall Feast would not be possible without the amazing people who volunteer their time and resources to selflessly serve others on this special day. Don’t miss the opportunity to make a difference.
Stay tuned later in 2014 for volunteer opportunities.
Here is how to get involved later in 2014:
This November, we will be hitting the streets – sending teams into local neighborhoods to tell people about Fall Feast and personally invite them to attend. We’ll be setting up stations to give away free coffee, passing out fliers, and hanging up posters to spread the word about the event.
COAT SORTING/PRE-EVENT SETUP:
Volunteers are needed to help set up for the big event! You’ll hang pipe & drape, set up tables and make sure the Duke Energy Center is in tip-top shape for our thousands of guests on Thanksgiving Day!
The best gift you can give is your time and fellowship over a meal. Simply breaking bread with someone in need can be so meaningful for you and them.
These are people who love to be social with new friends and are not afraid of striking up conversation with new faces. Your task could be anything from standing out greeting people that are in line to helping a person find a service that they are need of day of the event.
INSIDE THE BALLROOM:
Food service, hospitality, kids’ activities, organizational support.
OUTSIDE THE BALLROOM:
Hospitality, food prep/service, kids’ activities, coat area, health clinic area, organizational support.
Make the day special for those who may not otherwise have a Thanksgiving meal. Donations are secure and tax-deductible. All donations go toward expenses. The event is organized, managed and staffed by volunteers.
